Our Wedding

Tetherow Resort is 30 minutes from the Redmond Airport. We highly encourage booking your round trip through Redmond. If you plan to drive from the SF Bay Area its approximately an 8 hour road trip.

Redmond Municipal Airport (RDM)

Our ceremony and reception will be held at Tetherow Resort Pavilion and we’d love for you to stay here with us for the duration of your trip! Take a look at the accommodations page to view any of the 40 vacation homes or 50 hotel rooms and nightly rates. ALL accommodations are within a 5 minute walking distance to our wedding venue! We encourage you to look into vacation homes and split expenses amongst your groups. If you would like to book Tetherow accommodations, you can do so by calling 541.388.2582 and ask to be booked for the Kelly-Windell Wedding. Lodging at Tetherow is subject to fill up at any time, so book at your earliest convenience. Please note that over the wedding date, there may be 2 night minimums. For nightly minimums, inquire within Tetherow Reservations at the phone number listed above. For a more budget-friendly option, Hotel Peppertree Bend is located just 5 minutes down the street. Please note that guests not staying at Tetherow will have limited access to resort amenities. We can’t wait to celebrate with you!

Tetherow Resort

Please arrange for your transportation from and to the Redmond Airport in advance. We will not provide this accommodation. For guests staying at Tetherow, a resort shuttle is available with advance planning. Please call 541.213.2405 for availability and reservation. Once at Tetherow all resort amenities are within walking distance for added convenience. Downtown Bend is a 13 minute drive. Other options: • Lyft or Uber • Enviro Shuttle: This is a great low-cost option. They provide car seats and boosters for an additional $10. • Shuttle Oregon • Cascade Town Car Rental Cars: • Expedia Rental Cars - Pick-up/ Drop-off at the Redmond Airport.

Tetherow Resort Activities

The Old Mill District, along the Deschutes River, offers premier shopping, dining, and entertainment. Enjoy a run along the Deschutes River Trail or shop with friends and family. With over 12 riverfront restaurants, you’ll find everything from fine dining to family-style meals. The district also features a 16-screen IMAX theater, three art galleries, and a bike rental station.

The Deschutes River Trail - South Canyon Reach offers a scenic, 4.5-mile trail along the Deschutes River in Bend, Oregon. It provides outdoor enthusiasts with a picturesque route for hiking, biking, wildlife viewing, kayaking or tubing. The trail features beautiful river views, varied terrain, and is accessible year-round. Our story begins on a quiet Saturday night, March 6th, 2021—right in the heart of the pandemic shutdowns. Allen had set off for a night out in San Jose, while Cassy was gearing up for an evening in downtown Danville, California, where she lived. Danville, known for its tight-knit community, was one of the few places in the Bay Area still buzzing with life during the pandemic, as it worked hard to support local, family-owned businesses. That charm drew Allen and his friends on a 45-minute drive to Danville’s beloved Primo’s, a pizza pub with plenty of character.It wasn’t long after Allen had settled in that Cassy and her group walked through the door. One drink turned into another, and soon Cassy’s friend was petting all the dogs at Primo’s, eventually making her way to Bruce, a striking German Shepherd holding it down at Allen’s table. Bruce, bridged the gap between their groups, and before anyone knew it, their tables had become one. What felt like just an hour turned into several as they laughed and shared stories, completely caught up in each other. They exchanged numbers and in an effort to scare him off, Cassy shoved a Mozzarella stick in Allen’s drink. To her surprise, it sparked uncontrollable giggles between them.As the evening wore on, Allen decided to lean in for a kiss, that sent Cassy running for the hills. Frightened, she redirected her attention to other conversations in the pub to create some space. Making a second attempt to ward him off! Persistent Allen tried to get her attention but took the hint and reluctantly called it a night, heading back to San Jose with the impression that his chance had passed. But Cassy wasn’t quite ready to let him go. After Allen left, she found the last member of his group lingering at the pub and casually mentioned that if Allen was serious about her, he should ask her out on a real date. Minutes later, Allen’s phone lit up with a call from his friend, relaying the unexpected update.The next morning, Allen sent Cassy a text asking her out on a first date. She said yes, and that date became the first of many. Since then, they’ve built a beautiful life together—moving in, adopting their sweet pup Harper, and creating countless memories along the way.A heartfelt thanks to Bruce, the real MVP, for bringing us together.
